ATLANTA, Ga. — Manheim selected Shane O’Dell to be the senior vice president of wholesale service, a new role within the company. O’Dell has worked in the vehicle finance industry since 1995.

“We feel putting in place a leader with Shane’s industry and operation experience will help us drive continued innovation and growth in this important part of our business,” said Janet Barnard, executive vice president and CEO of Manheim North America.

O’Dell will be responsible for setting and executing strategies around Manheim’s third-party logistics business. He will focus on Manheim’s transportation business with Ready Auto Transport and is tasked with developing a plan to strengthen and grow wholesale services revenue.

“Shane Brings high-energy, strong execution skills and deep industry knowledge to this key role,” said Barnard.

O’Dell was previously the chief operating officer of NextGear Capital, an independent inventory finance company and he lead the team that integrated Dealer Services Corporation and Manheim Auto Finance Solutions to form NextGear Capital. He began his career in 1995 with Automotive Finance Corporation where he served as branch manager and regional manager.
